Suspended Accounts, YAYA 2014

Suspended Accounts, the 2014 Young Artist of the Year Award exhibition, is curated by Viviana Checchia and examines Palestinian artists’ use of self-historicization through archival methods of photography, archaeology, historical narratives and painting. Part of Qalandiya International, an art biennial across major cities in the West Bank and Gaza, the YAYA exhibition is a competition organized by A.M. Qattan Foundation which shortlists ten Palestinian artists every two years to produce new work around a theme proposed by an independent curator.
